Traveling? This is not an excuse to skip your treatment
If you are going to be traveling, and you are thinking about skipping your medication because you are too worried about storing your medication. You need to reconsider, especially if you need to consume it regularly.
Here are some tips for you to save your medicine during your trip:
A. Do not store medication in the glove compartment of your car. The medicine can get too hot, cold, or wet there.
b. If you are boarding an airplane, keep your medication in your carry-on baggage. To help with airport security:
c. Keep the medicine in the original bottle.
d. Ask your healthcare provider for copies of all your prescriptions. You may need this if your medication is lost, exhausted, or damaged.
e. If you have diabetes, ask your provider for a letter explaining that you have diabetes and provide a list of all your supplies. You are allowed to bring medicine, blood glucose meter and lancet on board.
